Skunk2 Pro-S Full Coilovers + Skunk2 Front&Rear Camber Kit

Application: 1991 Honda Civic Sedan
Cost: approx. $800.00 after shipping + $300 for Camber Kit
Install Time: SHOULD take about 2 hours and A full alignment is needed

TIP: Make sure you get an exact picture of the rear coilovers before you buy them, you MAY need to purchase aftermarket Rear Lower Control Arms if you have the box style LCAs. I didn't have too :TU:

The First Drive: SUPER BUMPY lol, but it's about a 1,000 mile break in period.
First 100 or so miles: You will hear squeaking and stuff of that nature, normal noises, no reason to worry.
NOTE: Make sure after a few drives you check & retighten the bolts on top of the strut towers. Just as a precaution after having the weight of the car on the suspension and it bouncing up and down from bumps and stuff.

The 1,000 miles mark(which is just about where I'm at now): Suspension feels great! Still somewhat bumpy but you can tell your sitting on nearly $1,000 suspension :bigok:

Don't criticize me if you hate this suspension or if you think they suck. Because whatever the hell was on my car before this (sleeve coilovers on basically stock shocks) was HELL on wheels horrifying! So therefore these are a dream

If you're looking for low, THESE!
After putting them on, we adjusted them all the way down just to see..
Car sits on the tires!
Couldn't even fit the scissor jack under the pinchweld. Had to have a friend lift the car a few centimeters LOL
BUT that's what I wanted was to sit LOW. So I thank Skunk2.

They get my 110% approval & I will definitely consider them for my next car.

Any questions or anything else you would want to know about the suspension/ride/etc just ask. Thanks!

Oh my fault, Correcting a 1 letter mistake on my Product review. Maybe if you spent more time on your own car instead of correcting my one letter on this forum, youd have time and money for nice ass suspension parts.

The only thing I see about them that I don't like, is that you adjust the spring perch, not the mount. When going super low (not my style, but I know a lot of people that like that for some reason), you lose a lot of strut travel...that could be causing the bumpy ride because you're basically riding on the bumpstops. And for $800, you'd think they'd have some sort of dampening adjustability. Not knocking the product as it sounds like a lot of people are happy with them....but for $800, it could use some improvements.

Agreed. For the price of $800, they could be better. And there could be an improvement. The roads right outside of my town suck and its not usually the best of rides.. But still a great company and the adjustability is unbelievable.

Well I just blew out my konis and im torn between these and function & forms. I like the amount of height adjustability with these, but not loss of travel. With the f&f's the adjust height without loosing travel and are fully rebuildable (not sure if the s2's are) I wonder how different the pro s II. Is than the original s?

I originally thought this review was on the pro c I have no expierience with the s
But my buddy has the pro c in his crx..
Almost all the way slammed and almost full stiff.
I swear it is an amazing setup I have been with him around some turns that I swear we would have died in other cars...
I am a die hard Koni/gc guy.
And I really liked the pro c's

Koni's re valved with gc are amazing..
Also if you are the original owner Koni's have a lifetime warranty..
nd if they failed due to something they don't cover they give u a brand new set for half price...

Ive had the Pro S. This was about 4 years ago and maybe they offer different spring rates now, but then as I knew, you had no choice. I went with Skunk because I knew that I wouldn't have any problems as they've made quite a name for them selves. After installed, It felt a little bouncy for me and one drive down I5 Downtown LA, they had to go. Now the intersection of I10 and I5 was under construction at the time, however, my cousin and I couldn't stop laughing as with each bump in the road we were air born at normal driving speeds. I sold the coil overs and the ride is perfect on a heavier EG body. I love everything else I have from skunk.

Been a while since Ive been on here, been computerless :( . Sry for the hostility lol must have been a bad day. I got the camber kit on eBay for $300. A few months ago I found my same suspension for a little over $600. I guess since then they came out with the s2's ? they lowered the price. Idk. Still riding good after a years time. Nice Sol btw^^ looks good
