Check grounds, plugs & wires.

 

Plugs and leads are new all earths are new and tested on multimeter etc

 

Did it run before the swap?

 

Yeah was all running before swap, have a fully rebuilt engine high comp pistons, arp rods etc so all new all the way through

Just can't figure the no spark out

 

What harness? Obd1 motor in obd2 car more infor on the setup.
And ecu check good?

 

Full obd1 dash loom swapped aswell, ecu starts my mates del sol straight away same as the dizzy plugs and leads

Have power to the blk/yel on dizzy

All lights on dash when ign turned on work cel comes on and turns off after 2 seconds, main relay clicks and is new aswell

 

compression and leak down test numbers?

 

Fresh build how long u been cranking?

 

Been cranked over a few times, just isn't giving off a spark to fire it,
It cranks over well, just can't think what's next,

 

Well gotta do a run down of the ignition system.
You said ecu , dizzy, and main rely check good. Pin out wiring?

 

I checked all the ecu wiring to specs I found on here n they matched up,

Someone also said its because I've converted to obd1 dash loom in a 2000 model?

When cranking you can smell fuel so injectors are also spraying

Changed ignition switch aswell as that came up previously

 

Could be possible I never converted the dash harness because its all build as one with headlights and etc..
Always done the obd1 jumper harness.

What're civic? I know the 99-00 obd2b is different from the 96-98. Something to do with there crank sensor or rpm sensor.
Don't remember much in it as I haven't mess with it much.

 

What ecu are you using?

There's 2 power wires at the ecu plugs a25 & b1 and 4 grounds at a23,24,26 and b2. My guess is your not getting power or ground to b1 or b2.

All so check for continuity on a21(icm)wire to dizzy yellow/green. All so continuity test b11,b12,b13,b14,b15 and b16 as those all are for the dizzy.

 

Ill double check all the wires for continuity today

Mines a 00 civic coupe, was completely stripped when I got had no looms etc so just put in a full obd1 dash and engine loom as that's what I had.

Is the crank sensor in the z6 inside the dizzy? If so it must be fine as my dizzy starts another car no?

 

If your dizzy and ecu where put in another car and worked then there both good and the problem is in your loom some where.

Could be power,ground or a bad connection/broken wire.

 

Using a p28 ecu btw

 

get one of this then fire down the spark plug hole each time the piston near tdc.

there u got spark already

 

2jzdreamin just checked the pinouts again and continuity, earths and power are all fine.

 

 

When cranking over to do a spark test no spark, once stopped cranking on key it sparks one single spark? Any ideas

 

How are you spark testing?
And sounds like it's not getting a good signal somewhere. It shouldn't spark after the motor has stop turning.

 

Putting plug in end of plug lead an testing in metal as cranking over
