I just install my o2 and aem wideband but i dont know if i put them to close to the turbo, i still getting a code for 02 at idle and the afr is really lean idle like 16 and crousing at 2.5k 18+ i dont know if i intalled too close to the turbo, also i have my pressure gauge and BOV hooked to the fuel pressure regulator( will that be a problem)

Also i am running open dowmpipe all the way to the end of the oil pan, were the stock piping use to join will this cause lean reading..?

Man that pipe is really messed up.
99% of lean readings in such situations are caused by air leaks.

1. Make sure you dont have any air leaks in your system.
2. I see no reason why you cant mount the wb sensor there.
3. Any half decent wide band will monitor sensor temp. And if the controler is not able to drop heat or the sensor is getting too hot or too much pressure then it should throw an error code. On my unit the display starts blinking. On the tech edge unit. The display says wide band PID error.

How good is that gasket between the turbo and the flange ?

as long as the sensor is at least 12 inches away from the end of your exhaust, you will get an accurate reading.

i cant see the pictures due to security settings at work, although why dont you just extend your exhaust a bit and put the sensor right past your oil pan? thats where i have mine, as well as many others.

Mine is really close as well. Im not happy with the location but it has been fine. I have an egt sensor as well though.

I would make sure that the voltages are being read right. I know the stock one and some widebands read 2 different ways. If it shows 20 when ur coming to a stop or off the throttle then it should be reading right.

I would t off a line once.

Why is the distance issue for the o2 sensor up for debate ?
Its simple. Bosch data sheet says 12" from the Exhaust port.
Anything more and you are going to compromise your tune.
Do the math i.e. calculate the delay between what your engine is doing and what your o2 is reading if you move more than 12" back.

In our race car I made a call to move it more than 12" back. Cause I could see that the sensor was over heating. i.e. my heater value was below zero.
This is why we have an option to show you whats going on with the heater on the display. Its simple. Just monitor how much juice is being used to keep the heater in range. If you find that the resistance of the heater is falling. Even after you stop applying juice to the heater. your too close and need to move back a bit.

lol, my wideband is about 6" off turbo. according to AEM when i called them, they said I'm fine there. that's around the min they would recommend though.
