Default Simple turbo questions

hi.. simple questions that would be quicker to ask you fellas instead of googling...

1-Turbo gasket, down pipe gasket, Exhaust Manifold gasket-- Shall i use Gasket Sealant??
2-Bolting Turbo manifold to block-- Arm strength criss-cross or Torque wrench-__ ? pounds

3- Intercooler piping is bent in some spots (rocks gravel etc) - Safe to straighten and adjust with needle nose pliers?

thanks fellas for any info

Are there any cons to adding that high temp silicone on the ex. manifold gasket? I have been doing this out of habit for years. But I will stop today if there are reasons not to.

yes the sealant destroys o2 sensors and they stop working correctly.

You can get O2 sensor friendly silicon sealant, but it is not necessary unless you have to use a damaged gasket for some reason. With good gaskets and proper practices, sealants are just a waste and even as Dan says, a potential problem.

They also make it harder to reuse a gasket that has been installed with them if you have to do emergency repairs.
