Well guys its time...ive put it off for a long time. its time for the build. income tax came in and ive been colecting parts over the last few months. wish me luck as while this isnt my first engine build(not hardly) it is my first honda build. feel free to lemme know what you guys think.
Some history: well a few years ago i made the awesome mistake of going on a road trip without checking my oil or any of my vital fluids (its a Y8 remember...see where this is going). well road trip ended up being about two hours worth of 100mph+ coming back from northern california in the middle of the night....yea you guessed it SPUN ROD BEARING!!!! :wacko:long story short...replaced the rod bearings twice, crank was scored i knew it was toast. lasted about 8K miles. Knew i was gonna have to replace the engine so in a blaze of glory i dropped the clutch at 6,00 rpm and shot a rod out of the block. (on purpose...im a jerk)

Block: D16Y8 honed
Pistons: D16Y8 w/ oem honda rings
Head: D16Y8 P&P by me, Milled .020 and 3 angle valve job Exospeed
Intake: D16Y8 cut open and P&P by me
all bearings and gaskets OEM
CAI: AEM
4-1Header: DC
exhaust: custom 2.25 with borla muffler
Build goals: my main goal with this build has been to make the most of what honda gave me. i woould like to squeeze the most out of this combo without having to change the cam or pistons(only because smog rules wont let me) so wish me luck guys feel free to comment!!! oh an pic whores(myself included) pics tomorrow gotta get the camera from my chicks house tonight.
