well i've been doing some research and well i can't really find any. here's the problem i want to see in truth if running the ZC/civic oil cooler will be enough or the B16 oil cooler is an overkill. as you can tell the inlets and outlet are smaller on the zc and bigger with b16. so which will flow better and which one will cool it down but not to cold either. i do understand that bigger isn't alway better either.

i have come across several problems will first i have to tap the block, not a problem but the second is a bit tricker.

now if i used the ZC/civic oil cooler i can use the coolant pipe of the civic coolant. i gotta thanks ben(f00ker) for that bit of info. but if i use the B16 oil cooler i have to tap the the oem coolant pipe and then get the pipe galvanize to prevent it from rusting.

so i'm really trying to find any good info or anyone that has done this type of work so i can get some good useful advice.

thanks

Contrary to popular belief. Those are oil warmers not oil coolers! Unless of course you run it seperate from you coolant system.. Its own hoses pump and some sort of heat exchanger with a fan!

I wanted too use the same cooler setup on my civic.A B16 gets 1 coolant nipple from the engine block and the other from the coolant pipe itself.I think you can tap the coolant drain plug for the piping back into the engine .But the oil cooler is actually a heat exchanger. It warms up the oil with the water because water is faster heated then oil.It also cools down the oil a bit with the coolant.I would not use this when your track driving ,it wont cool down your oil enough, but it's great for a DD drive.Your oil temp is faster on temp. too.I'm actually afraid the big piping from the b16 cooler will draw away too much coolant from your pump ,and it might not be so good for your engine.
