I wan't to buy a wideband o2 sensor, but I'm not sure witch one to get. Does anybody have a preferance or has had a bad experience with one etc. ? I was think of about getting the Techedge DIY kit. Does anybody know if it's hard to build? Any suggestions or comment would be appreciated.

Zeitronix all the way.
I've got one and I love it.
The Zeitronix kit is cheaper than a prebuilt TechEdge kit (like $200 cheaper) and also has everything you'll need. The basic Z-kit does not have a LED readout, but supports data-logging, which is what you really want to utilize for tuning anyways and the unit it VERY small. Smaller than a deck of cards, so you can stash it just about anywhere. The TechEdge controller, on the other hand, is much bigger and needs a dedicated space to mount it. The Zeitronix also comes with the data-logging software (freeware) and is pretty good.

Definitely get the Zeitronix, especially if your money doesn't grow on trees.

The AEM unit looks really nice, it comes with a guage. I actually favor the guage instead of the digital units. thats probly what im going to get for my engine. I dont think it has all the bells and whistles that the zeitronix unit.
I just got my AEM UEGO yesterday, and I'm about to install it. I really like the look of the gauge because it'll match all my autometer gauges. and to top it all off, it connects to my EMS for perfect tuning! I can't wait!

I'm a newbie when it comes to datalogging (haven't really done any research on it). So your datalogging the output instead of using the LED readout?

Thanks for the replys everybody. I'm leaning toward the Zeitronix unit. I like the additional features and size.

How is info retrievable off of the datalogger? I'm interested in this as well. If it could be retrieved via removing data-logger and connecting to a usb cable, or even better, with a thumb drive, that would be awesome, because I dont have a laptop and dont plan on buying one.

The Zeitronix unit datalogs through a serial cable (included in the kit) which means you have to plug it up to a palm or laptop computer. It has software that graphically displays and logs in real-time. You can then review your test runs and see where you need to tweak things.

With the Zeitronix you can run the LCD display or I believe you can get a conversion harness that will let it operate your typical LED gauge. You can also datalog while it's hooked up to the gauge.
