Obd2 data logging???????
I have a some input and some questions. I have Scanxl standard edition software on my laptop for clearing check engine lights at work, this software is really designed around ford and chevy, on either of these i can view and record full tables of spark timming by rpm and map, or rpm and maf. So i wanted to use this on a obd2 y8 civic so i can get a general view of a y8 timing map, record a few under light and heavy loads to be able to compile a perfect obd1 map for the y8, of coarse the map will be roughly 9* different when plugged into the s300 software but i thought this would be a great start. So my questions are as follows..... What cheap software does anyone know of that can do the same as the scanxl for honda, as far as compiling spark timing tables that can be used with a usb to obd2 cheap ass cable like i have, and can you data log from the CN2 port if a header is soldered in using hondalogger or equivelent. Im sure alot of people will appreciate this, as well as a lot will probably criticize. But This info should certainly help alot. Main focus in the program is spark table maping. the free one's do not off this and the ones that do that i have found, do not offer the support for honda.
