is this my distributor o-ring?

yeah so i popped my hood to check my oil today.... only to notice this..

heres what it looks like on top of my trans..

so i decided to put my fingers underneath my dizzy and feel about...

so i check the ground underneath....

oh damn... check my oil and

wtf im still full? could this be my dist. o-ring? help me out here guys! TIA :TU:

I had a similar problem. I replaced my distributor o ring only to still have it leak. The distributor itself had a bad shaft which led to it leaking even with the new o ring. replaced the distributer body and all was good. So it is either or. Take off your distributor and check the o ring. if it looks bad replace it. also while the distributor is out, check the shaft for play. if it has a lot of play, replace it.

i got the same problem. got any pics of the dizzy o ring. not tryin to thread jack or anything. just same problem.

Just unbolt the dist and pull it out...you should be able to go to a local hardware store and get an o-ring to fit it...Murray's didnt have one...

Pop off your dizzy cap , if theres oil in side its the shaft and o ring.If not just o ring

the distributor from an 89 d16a6 will work fine on a 91 a6 right?
