did you just get a header?

did you just get a check engine light from saying bye bye kitty cat?

fear no more child....

go to autozone and grab 2 spark plug non foulers

You will need to drill out a 1/2" hole in one of the Anti-Foul's

disconnect the (-) Battery

Unbolt your 2nd O2 sensor pb blaster is your friend

Now screw on the Anti-Foul with the 1/2" hole on top of the regular one and then screw it into the hole for the 02.

Screw the 02 into the Anti-Fouler's tighten everything up, Then connect the (-) Battery terminal

car is not a honda, but if you cant understand this...you need to be slapped. ;)

for all the wondering minds...it takes your secondary o2 sensor out of direct exhaust flow to tell the engines computer that the cat is still functioning. i have sported this for over a year and never had one cel for a malfunctioning cat evarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

i rep back :)

thats good it had two holes, youll still need this mod or youll get a cel

#8 ·
then you prolly have obdI or a cat.

I tried that on my Y7, and after a week or so I always got a CEL. I had it ziptied right behind the A/C radiator. So I did the non-fouler trick, and Ive never gotten a CEL in over 6 months. + rep for the OP. :TU:

if you have any probs, holla at cha boy

#19 ·
yes...cars with obd2 look for 2 sensors.

Was going to do this on my VW the other day

Got the non-foulers drilled out, ready to install. Jacked up the car, looked up. The O2 sensor points up, not up and out. Impossible to take out without dropping the whole downpipe, which is not gonna happen.

On my old Honda, I swapped engine harnesses to a VTEC harness at the end. Instead of tearing the dash apart to drop the o2 sensor into the cat, I ran the wire under my seat, while tinfoiling the end. Never tripped a cel ;)

dont zip tie it, i dont care what anyone says about that. if it doesnt get enough heat then it doesnt work properly....just do my write up

#27 ·
thats a ghetto fab way of zip tieing it, go ahead and do that...

hopefully you never get a visual inspection.

<<<<<<<<<why yes, i did it. lol

This is a good trick I have been using it on every car I have owned for the past 5 years haha. I am surprised not everyone knows about this.

Technically though you could just use one non fouler but not drill it through all the way just enough for the sensor to fit. But of course the faster way would be to drill one all the way through and use the other since they always sell them 2 a pack. But for people with clearance issues one works just as good if done right

#33 ·
are you serious? i just showed a whole write up on how to make one.......

#35 ·
actually mine is cheaper and you dont need to wait for it to ship to your casa.

stop being so lazy and DIY

what if my test pipe doesnt have a secondary o2. the reason i ask this is because i only have 1 o2 hole in my exhaust system because im running an aftermarket header with no cat. the only o2 sensor bung there is is the primary one. there isnt a secondary o2 hole.

#37 ·
not to thread jack, but what gage wire are you people with this using to lingthen your O2 sensor? casue i'm about to lingthen one for the fact that my high flow cat... is a resonator... wiht O2 bungs welded in the side?

i used speaker wire. and then wrapped the wires together with electrical tape.
