1. that motor goes by the name "mini me" there has been a ton of builds and write ups about it.
2. it can be dropped into your car and run, however if you ever want to take advantage of its full potential you will want to convert the ecu to a p28 and wire up the vtec. the stock p06 (non vtec) ecu will run it but keep in mind the fuel maps are different so make sure your factory o2 sensor is working so the p06 ecu can compensate for the fueling difference. without vtec connected you will be in the economy cam setting until the fore-mentioned is accomplished.
3. if the motor does not have a dizzy you will need a d16z6 dizzy.
4. look at the code on the intake manifold. the d15b7 is p06 and the z6 is p08. it isnt a deal breaker if you have the p06 it just means you wont get the full potential once again.
5. and as always i would do a timing belt, water pump, tensioner, front and rear main seals whilst the motor is out. for this you'll need a d15z1 belt (d16z6 will work but it has a little too much play for my tastes), d15b7 water pump, d15b7 tensioner, d15b7 front and rear main seals. also the spark plug wires are now d16z6 as well.
good luck those motors are alot of fun.

I don't know a lot about the D15Z6, I'd guess the mounts may be different, more akin to the D16Y7/8 that we see a lot of around here. I KNOW FOR A FACT that the obd level is different and therefore will NOT just drop in and drive away....and it took all of about 30 seconds of research to determine this, I pat myself on the back here.

Now, does the op have D16Z6? Hard to tell as he seems to have abandoned his thread, leaving us to twist in the wind....noobs, what can we do?
