The scan tool should hook up to the OBD2 port not the ECU itself. The port should be under the dash. somewhere in between the fuse block and steering column. More than likely closer to the fuse block.
I cant find it in my car.
What I did find is passenger side. Green Color. Two sockets one is two pin which is the service connector. And the other pin has 3 wires. To which the Honda Staff hook up to their scan tool.
I will look again for where you guys say its supposed to be.
And if I do find it then what is the 3 pin coupler that the Honda Guys hook up to ?
Near the service connector.
I think I read somewhere that for some silly reason. Even though our ECU is OBD2B we have an OBD1 Connector. I could be wrong about this.
OK, lets start from scratch. What year/model/trim is your car.
And IF you do have a OBD1 set up, you can't use the scan tool.. You will have to jumper the 2 pin service plug and read the flashes from the check engine light.
Obd is basically there for emissions standards and laws which i believe india does not have. therefore, You might not have any plug for a scan tool? Fairly random guess on my part, it would make sense though. If you do have a plug you would know by now, its pretty obvious.
