Well I've got the drivers side wiring cut and pulled doing my tuck. So i remember seeing a thread somewhere about converting from 9006 headlights to 9005's.
So i start searching around and most sites say that you want to run 9005 high beam lights in your low beam position. And then If I do that will my 9006's be any brighter than my regular lights.
And if that's the case is there a good way to convert the hb's to foglights?

sorry... mabey to many questions and thinking out loud there!

I gotta admit that untill i read that I didn't even realize that there was a HB and a LB 9006, let alone different low beam bulbs with the same #'s.

If I do it, I'm going to swap to 9005 bulb connections since I have to solder the headlight connections back together anyways.

I did this "swap" from the 9006 to the 9005's.. it was a descent improvement in lighting.

I went to the junkyard and got a set of 9005 plugs (the h/b's) off a civic.. and just spliced them in place of my 9006 plugs (the l/b's). The only thing you have to do is modify one of the notch's on the bulb as your headlight housing is designed for a 9006 l/b bulb. It's not that hard to do.. just make sure you look at the pic right to see which notch to shave down.

Good luck .
