Power Door Lock Issue 97 Civic LX 4 door

I just re-installed the factory radio dissembling a hack job aftermarket radio. They did not splice into any of the factory wiring though. I put in the factory radio trying to get the door-locks to work. None of them work out of the 4 doors. There is an additional green harness that tees off the factory green wiring harness. I am assuming this if for a key fob which this car did not come with one.

Question is where do I go to solve this problem. I checked the 51 fuse and it is good. Everything works on the car except for cruise control. I am wondering if you gentlemen have any ideas. I am in the process of getting the car in working order before new paint and engine upgrades.

Please help. Thanks!

The third picture outlines testing the control modules wiring. The last part of it test the lock/unlock function. If those pass the module is bad.

The keyless entry is built into the factory radio. If your car/radio is keyless equipped you would need to get a factory key fob and program it.

Pull the main plug that goes into the driver side door (in the door jam). Big BIG problem with the LX models. Pull the rubber boot back and check those wires. My window works but the locks do not, I pulled that rubber boot back to find several wires pulled out and ripped in two.

Are we talking about the plug that goes into the module that has corrugated tubing around it or between the door and door jam? I am hoping to fix this over the weekend. I can intermittently get both of the drivers side doors to lock and unlock by shaking the wires but neither of the passenger side doors respond when I do this so I suspect shorting or broken wires. I just want to know how far back to look. Thanks for the help.

What 87REX mentioned is in between the the door and body. It's not limited to LX trims though.

With what you said about intermitant driver side operation and no passenger side I'd look in the boot between the body and door first.

Not my picture
