bump anyone? or would a bad spark plug wire cause it?

 

Lol noobie, check your grounds yo.

 

Your car needs spark, fuel, air, and compression to run. If you said it has fuel and spark, (air is assumed) check your compression. If that's present too, you have either a timing or wiring issue. Do you have a CEL or any engine codes?

 

Also, check your main relay. Those will cause the car to just crank and not fire.

 

beside calling me a noob i check all the grounds already i replace the main relay already i haven't check the compression yet.. my buddy has one i'll go barrow it from him and test it

 

If the fuel pump is kicking on, its not the main relay. Have you changed a dizzy or timing belt lately? Have you worked on anything on the car before it stopped starting? Was it doing anything weird before it happened?

Any cels? Did you check fuel pressure with a gauge or just by hearing the pump?

 

Money's on timing or a faulty sensor/code.

 

before i did hear the fuel pump prime but i think i blew the relay cause i replace it and it prime again.....and i replace the dizzy with a new one....but i haven't change the timing belt.... before the car ran but it was stall out while driving.... and couple second later it would kick back on and drive... other then that if the car stall out we would have to pull over and switch ecu to start up and idle normally


edit: i havent check if it throw any cels would it still throw a code even though the car don't start up?

 

Yes, it would, assuming that there is in fact a code. And hopefully it would tell you why your engine's not running

ok, we're missing one important fact. what year civic? i mean if you have a 95 civic with the y8 swap, are you using the d15b7 distributor? or converted your obd2 y8 dizzy to obd1? or??

 

Any updates on the codes?

 

first off it a 1999 honda civic cx with a 97 d16y8 set up im using a 00 ex dizzy and 00 ex wire harness 92-95 p28 with obd2b to obd1 jumper if that help out

Update: i got a brand new set of spark plug wire again...thanks to my brother they had a lifetime warranty on them....still i forgot to check the cel....... could it be the ignition coil went bad? i remember hear a popping sound from the engine bay

Edit: i remember seeing a low spark cause i have the tool to check for the spark..... it was really low i wonder if the coil could be the problem
