Well I went to Atco racewat last night. Ran mt best time of 12.450. On the 3rd run however I snapped the axle on a burnout. I thought myabe the lsd would distribute the torque more evenly, thus I'd be snapping less axles. Wrong, i snapped the drivers side inboard joint. Anyway this is the second time this has happened out of 5 outings to the track. (5 outings = 2 different nights with a snapped axles, and 1 night where i blew the tranny, so unsuccessful driving home after 3 out of 5 times)

Do you guy just buy some pep boys axles and use they're warranty? Maybe bring spare axles to the track, or just upgrade to say driveshaftshop or some other company? If you're using aftermarket beefed up ones, what brand and how do you like them?

Also will running a ZC type setup with an intermediate shaft alleviate this problem with stock axles?

Thanks,
chris

what kind of axles are you using? There are no US axles that fit ZC tranny exactly (atleast not to my knowledge). I know myself I plan on using 2 Si passenger side axles, but putting the ZC inboard cups on them along with the intermediate shaft. That is the best way I have found. maybe that'll help you..

stock axles,

i thought an intermediate shaft form a zc would fit on the drivers side of the tranny followed by the bracket that hols the intermediate shaft, hmmm i guess theyre not interchangeable
the ZC intermediate shaft will fit on a 1.6 SOHC block, but you need the DOHC ZC tranny to use it.
