I have a 91 civic hatch std and I would like to install sway bars front and rear. Can any of you guys tell me what it would take to install sway bars. I would really like to have one on the front but I am not sure if it will be a problem since it does not have one on there now.

exactly..... you have to search..... something you prob didn't do.... even on a car parts website.... for example... andysautosport.com is where i do the majority of my shopping... they tell you for everypart what must be done to install it... and also the part is going to come with instructions... Sway bars are installed by removing your factory end links and sway bar. Re-install the new bushings and position your new sway bar on the vehicle in the OEM location and secure it with the same bolts. that took me all but ten seconds to find... and here is a link to it http://www.andysautosport.com/honda/1988_1991_civic/suspension/sway_bars/

never mind the idiotic posts above. you will need to change the control arms since the dx does not have space for the endlinks and you will need to install the mounts to hand the sway bar in the rear. the rest of the info is here :http://www.d-series.org/forums/showthread.php?t=69263

your STD didnt come with a front swaybar. so the stock D clamp is not there. you will need to source that from another car, like from the junkyard or dealer if its even reasonably priced... but honestly, i dont recommend a big aftermarket front swaybar, stock 18mm is fine. even 17.2mm HF can be better. aftermarket 22mm is just too big.

you wont need new LCA for the rear if you get the 22mm Suspension Techniques rear swaybar kit which is the popular swaybar to use.
