Has anyone fitted a ZC DOHC head onto a SOHC block??
I did it a few years ago but the day before the dyno session it was stolen,....so I never knew the power ..

It was a D16A7 block with D16A9 pistons and ZC ported head with bigger DPR valves... :x

it has been done...i think once.

the amount of time/money/fabrication and machine work will make the outcome null. plus the DOHC head doesnt flow as well as the SOHCs. so why would you want to do this then?

if you want DOHC that bad, get a ZC swap or just go B series.

It's been discussed a million times here already.

Sohc zc: d16a6
sohc zc vtec: d16z6
dohc zc: civic mounts/transmission d16a1 (better cams)

Thats basically the cliffs notes.

I need to print the thread... For the RICER FUCKS across the street from me.

RICERS were trying telling me....Oh yeah you can just swap heads....i guess this is why they are RICERS.

In a RICERS World anything is possible.....Not :TD:
i have a buddy that is stubborn and wont listen to me when i tell him the heads cannot be swapped. i think i need to beat it into his head, lol

but they don't share any parts? that's confusing..
crankshafts are the same.

sohc zc and dohc zc have the same oil pan, but the zc vtec does not have the same one.
