ZC Idenification FAQ

It has seemed to me that people just don't know what all the different kinds Of ZC there are.........well.....

There are 4 Kinds of DOHC ZC's actually

1)The 86-87 Civic and 86-87 integra ZC.....
Browntop (in the pic its dirty) , Square type Intake manifold,Flat piston, Vacume advanced Dizzy, Valve cover bolts on the inside near the Sparkplugs...........NON OBD (85-87 Crx/Civic and 86-87 Integra Motor Mounts

The D16a1 In the 86-87 Integra's is basically the same motor Minus the More aggressive and higher duration cams

2)The 88-89 Integra ZC (only made in 88 in japan)
This is a black top...Domed pistons... It has the best Intake Manifold Out of all the ZC's...also claims the Most HP and TQ...It too has the bolts on the inside Near the sparkplugs.... Same Motor mounts as above
MY ENGINE BAY......---6 monthes ago.....

3) Civic ZC.......
The most common imported ZC availiable.......BlackTop....OBD0... Has a very similar Intake manifold to the Blacktop Integra ZC But Just a Tad Bit smaller and Kind a Cocked at a Very slight angle.........
88-91 Crx/Civic Motor mounts

4) 2nd Gen Integra ZC......Came in the Lowest Model 2g Integra In japan.....Same as the Civic ZC...But OBD1

our engine Trav , is the same as the 1995 limited edition EG5 hatch in Japan - came with our OBD1 ZC , and also a optional LSD transmission ( apparently)

*wants JDM LSD*

Anyway , here is our OBD1 enigne...without a hat on lol.
Notice lack of cam angle sensor on the exhust camshaft - on our engine , it is internal to the dizzy.
