Hi i have a question. i bought a 95 civic with a d16z6 motor in it and i was driving home and it threw the rod through the block. i was wondering if i could use a d16a6 block out of a 1991 civic hatchback si and swap the blocks?

use your stuff from your z6 also
^^^What does that mean? If he swaps a A6 short block he really won't need anything from the Z6 bottom end.... I'm not sure I would want to use any of it after throwing a rod anyways unless I had a shop inspect and clean first.

@OP I'd check the head out too before the big day, it is prolly fine but I'd want to play it safe and check it real good just incase

Good Luck:TU:
