I got a d16z6 in my wagon. It burns oil and has bad blow by so its time to bore it out. But the guy i got the engine from had stripped half the head bolts which ive since heli coiled. Its held up just fine but id like to just replace the block. I put a brand new crank in it when i got it. All fresh bearing and what not. What other blocks can I use besides a z6 block. Will all my internals/ head bolt on to a y8 or a6 block without any problem? Thanks

Yes you can use most any sohc block. If you want you internals you need a 1.6 block.

The biggest difference is the oil dip stick location. But if you use the oil pump for the block you should be ok.

stick with d16a6 or d16z6 blocks to keep it the easiest.

Not only are there millions of each, but it keeps you from having to drill or swap oil pumps to make things work perfectly
