Okay this guy is going to sell me a z6 long block with the y8 head I was told this combo cobination raised the compression alittle over if it was the hole z6 head and block itself. My question is wat difference is this setup over the z6 head itself, I know it will change compression ration but im not sure its a slightly higher compression build or lower compression build? The plan is to swap it in my cx and turbo charge it so relating it to the compression ration will it be a good set up for me to turbocharge it or well it even make that much of a difference at all?

there will not be much of a difference in the two setups. the z6 head has the straight flow ports and the y8 has the swirl flow. the z6 has been argued to be better for boost, and when fine tuning, the z6 head will be able to have more timing advance than the y8 head.
