I just got a good deal on a nos dry kit with purge kit and I was wondering if I could use the purge selenoid as a fuel selenoid and make it a wet kit or do I have to buy a new selenoid for fuel

I'm doing a 50 shot of nitrous

I agree that wet would be better, but for a fiftyshot I wouldnt worry to much make sure you get 2 step colder plugs, and good fuel. As far as the purge for fuel, I wouldnt try it unless its been done

Im betting your fucking up a good safe nos dry system with two nitrous solenoids in which case you are going to kill your car quick. If its the kit im thinking of it has 2 solenoids and a fpr in the middle not 1 solenoid and 1 purge valve.

I sold my kit to a guy explained that shit to him and he went out and fucked his motor since he decided the other one was for a purge and that he didnt need the fpr either.

This is how dry kits get their bad rep.If you run just the one solenoid and not the fpr you will kill your motor most likely the first time.

You can buy just the fuel solenoid and make it a wet kit with a few accesories :)

Its a used kit and the selenoids look like the ones in the picture but the guy that sold it tome told me that one is the nitrous selenoid and the other one is for the purge (it even has the purge tube atached to it) and gave me the button for the purge. He told me that that was the way he had it hooked up.

NOS Dry kit, 50 shot, run it as is, no need to change the plugs. The kit should add pressure to the factory FPR to bump fuel pressure.

I've never said it, but ZEX 55 shot can be ran on a stock motor without any fuel enrichment, the stock tune is THAT rich. While it will be at/near the limit of being safe, I made a three passes like that before seeing the line had come off the FPR......hose clamps added to prevent it.

I'd say pull 2 degrees of timing, but OBD-2 will correct for it so no use in messing with it.

NOW THE BIG PROBLEM.......IIRC (If I recall correctly) the Y7 has the 190cc injectors, dry kit would go lean then.......

Learn to read your spark plugs, if in doubt go find a 8-9 second car running a big shit and ask them for help. I was able to ask Gary Rohe and he was WORLDS of help.

If you do change plugs, R5671A-7, 75 shot + = R5671A-8. Yes they are mustang plugs, they work. Tom Payn suggested them and guess what, they work!

If you don't have the other parts in that picture then your easiest bet would be to convert it to a wet kit.Go to jegs.com or summit racing and buy the fogger, line and jet needed.

If it only has one solenoid to spray juice and thats it do not use it.Like bone said it adds fuel pressure to the factory fpr via its own fpr.(the blue thing in the pic)You don't use that and it will not have a way to add fuel.

jegs also has the fpr to make that kit right. To make it right as a dry kit you need the nos fpr ,a special nos t fitting and a fuel jet.

will it be better to buy the parts I need to make the kit right or to buy the nos dry to wet conversion kit and make it a wet kit and then use the second nitrous selenoid for the purge
