So I put together my turbo d16y7 recently;

- 00 d16y8 intake manifold with the back iacv port and the injector air hole things are plugged and not leaking

- stock d16y7 throttle body with the 3 wire IACV

- chipped p28 ECU

So the car starts up quickly, idles at 1500RPM for a bit and then goes super lean and starts surging a little bit. The IACV does not seem to be working (but before it was perfectly fine), when I unplug it nothing changes at all.

I read about how the IACV might not work with the p28 ecu? but I couldnt find any good explanations/ tutorials on how to fix it. Does it have to do with the ECU wiring? or do I have to change the IACV?

p28 uses a 2 wire iacv.
so yeah pretty sure it can happen with what you got but don't feel like splainin'

if you have the iacv that came with your y8 intake wire it up ,
also use any other throttle body.
