Yeah, $100 a set is kinda expensive, last ones I bought were only $14 each.

Likely Gear-speed "carbon coated" pieces.

I should have a good 1-2 synchro laying on the workbench, I'll look at it tomorrow.

Next transmission I'm working on has 10 or 11 synchros....and it's only a five speed

Getting synchros is not hard, remember I bought out a whole suppiler in the USA during a group buy about 6-7 years ago.

Only they changed their design and I wasn't happy with it. Also found out that synchros weren't the casue of the grinding, it was worn forks.
