would it be okay to run p29 pistons with a d16y8. its going to have a stock head with a fel-pro headgasket. the compression calculator says i'm going to be 12.61:1 is that right? am i going to be expecting to have a blown head?

I highly doubt your valves will hit your head. I have saw slightly thicker headgaskets, but much larger cams run without valve/piston contact.

Remember, then P29's with OEM rods will sit in the hole .045-.049" depending on the manufacturer.

Wish that was true for my P29's on OEM rods......but I'm doing a different block and this will only serve to confuse people.........

don't run lean
don't run STOCK ECU
don't run a aftermarket cam

So, how much total timing you plan on running with the bigger injectors?

When you gonna do the OBD-1 conversion, hopefully BEFORE!
