I pulled a z6 pan off a junker motor and compared it to my a6 when I first bought the car because it had tagged a curb or something and f'd the pan up. the pans looked the same side by side. I just bolted the z6 pan on my a6 and it's been working great for over a year.

Am I wrong about the pans being the same? Am I f'ing up something on mine now?

the pans are definatly different, i finally pulled mine off tonight, and the was tons of golds flakes in it, i mean literally 100's of little gold flakes, what the hell is that? also for the piece of this metal shaped like its part of an piston ring, but i seriously doubt thats it, and the weird part is it runs really well.
