Nothing is impossible with the right amount of money, but that head on that block do not work together. Too many things are different between the D15/16 block/head compared to the D17 block/head. The D17 is practically an entirely different engine, although it does share some internal engine geometry characteristics with the D15/16 series engines, that's about it.
This winds up in the same category as trying to say the B21A1 from the 3rd gen preludes is similar to the better known B16/18/20 engines that we all know. The B21 shares almost nothing with the more well known OBD1 honda engines, even though it is technically a "B" series engine.

Recently bought an eu8 with the d16w9 engine. 130hp is a dam good starting point for a 1.6 engine but I can find any info on how to tune one.Ive seen people saying its actually a d17 with changed numbers for the uk market. So I guess my question is would d17 mods work on this engine also
Seems 01-02 civics have their own immobilizer compared to 03, and 04-05 civics.
Having a problem getting ming going on the 01.
2 different hodna dealerships have now said they cannot communicate with the immobilizer to get the replacement ecus running (yes, multiple)
