I picked up a EG shell from the junk yard the other day and i forgot to look at the engine code before they ripped it out... wanted to know which d series sits in a EG8 civic so i can find another d series motor for it

i wish i could but can't... this car is going to be in Honda challenge so it needs to be the same motor as stock to run with it's class... also it might see some SCCA regional runs and SCCA doesn't allow motor swaps at all

ummm... d16z6 was an original EX/Si motor for the EG civics.

Also, the d15b7.. (non-vtec)

and the d15b8 i believe (8 valve non-vtec)

Word....if you debadged your car and dropped a z6 motor in, they wouldnt know the difference. Even if you used the OEM block you could use a VTEC head, like the z6 or y8 that has no visible external markings, and they wouldnt know the difference.

Sup man. =)
