WHAT U GUYS THINK ABOUT MY BUILD

Hi I got a d16y8 and I’m pretty excited to start buy my internals I need some help

For the block i about to get CP Carrillo pistons and Eagle rods or my second option wiseco and eagle rods
Y8 crank and drag oil pump

For the head i was thinking about new valve guides super tech
Super tech or Ferrera valves
Super tech springs titanium reteirnes
New seals
Super tech or Brian crower springs
Bisimoto level x Cam
Coil and plug

s300v3
Turbo kit still thinking on it

What are your goals? Power level? Street car? Race car?

I was thinking street high boost for race but I got a dilemma with A/c and steering pump my goals it’s about 550 whp or little more

You can have a lot of fun and do it pretty cheaply to 400 hp (vitara/headstuds with some no notch rods). Once you go above that you should really think of going K series. The only reason people on here build north of 500 is because they are in love with the single cam. To hold over 500 reliably you will need to at a minimum css the block, and prob invest in larger diameter headstuds (they like to blow headgaskets) and maybe a good cam.

You can beat up most things at 350whp while getting your car weight down to about 2100lbs, and you can take on most newer cars under 800hp.

Its all about power to weight.

Agreed. I went through this making 400+ and I went through ALOT of head Gaskets once I was up over 20PSI of boost. Didn't matter what head studs I got; I kept stretching them. I was like personal friends with the fastener companies because the head gaskets just kept going and the head studs stretching. I even made some custom sleeves to increase the pressure on the head gasket which helped a bit...
