118 whp, D15B7 with P28 ecu, with soft cel revlimit is 6800 rpm.i'd run the p06
in fact i do...on the d16a6 (same as a zc non-vtec)
i cant believe i'm doubting myself
but doesn't a code 21 put you in limp mode?
ideally, the solution is chip whatever ecu you have and run a map for your motor
118 whp, D15B7 with P28 ecu, with soft cel revlimit is 6800 rpm.
stock P28 w/CEL...no 116 mph speed limiter eitherdont lie to me
you are basically running a p06 ecu since it never hits vtec
so there really is no argument here
unless your chipped p28 ecu in that dyno has altered maps
in which case...it supports the whole chipping your ecu idea
Hmm..Tranzex was the reason i got the p28. I had the b7/a6 cam build. I cant get a tune right now, i'm just looking for the best ecu to run stock. I've heard p06 alot, but i've also heard p28. Just tryin to get some guidance. But still different though...much different. Look at the timing at WOT, the p06 is skipping around the 20-21* area while the p28 is 28*. Thats not even close to being a mirror and the fueling is more than the p06 as well.
Chip what you got and go from there...I cant believe i posted in a thread on this magnitude of fail.
Thanks bro. ididnt know about the mpg thing with the ecu's..yeah i run the p06 for gas mileage
i get 42mpg
on p28 maps i get 30-35mpg
there's no argument they aren't the same really
dont go revving a p06 d16
but obviously everyone on the internet is a ricer...they rev to 8k no matter what ecu they run
the argument appears to be..."whats the proper way to drive a vehicle on the federal roads"
and thats not going to be the same for most
so...while this thread may appear fail...its actually only because people do not drive the same
not everyone considers performance as how high can i rev my motor and beat the guy next to me without blowing up my engine
