I might have to bore my block... not sure.. I might try to find another block.
If I do bore it what is the best brand pistons to buy (boring .020)
Honda .020 are 47 bux a pop : |
I plan on daily driving and trying to get high mileage on this build.

I am just going to deal with stock.
I bought brand new piston rings from honda and my honda piston ring compression tool didn't clamp the oil scraper ring all the way and scratched cyl #1 :(
SO.. might I am researching on how much replacement pistons will set me back if I do bore the puppy out.

I honed it a little more with medium grit but i don't think i should go any further or my piston to wall clearance is goin to be out of spec.
I still can't get rid of all of it.
The block only had 75k on it... I didn't believe the guy until I tore it apart.

I dont want to give you wrong advice cause I personally never had that happen so ill just have to let someone else chime in.

Nah, I would like to keep it at stock compression or damn near it. I don't want to destroy my HP with lowering the compression too much. Poor z6 only has 125 ponies. haha

Ok.. Bash the new guy on the hone job. I get ya now.

I like how you are willing to state that and then recommend "ebay pistons." Haha
You seen some of the crap they put on ebay????

So you guys recommend someone to do it for me. I will prob need to find another block anyway so I will have a machine shop take care of the cyl walls.
