Ok i've seen 2 good deals available right now,
a d16z6 head, and d16z6 block!
SO i'm thinking, would it be worth while to just piece the engine together instead of just buying a whole swap.

I know i'd need a tranny, ecu. and gaskets,
any other important little bits n pieces would be intersting to know about.

it would be going into a 93 dx

you would just need the normal timing belt, water pump. everything else from your b7 will bolt onto the z6. also make sure that it comes with a z6 crank pulley.

OK,
could I possibly get a list put together for things i'd need,
say I'd want to put it in immediately,
i have a 93dx
(p.s. the block it turns out doesnt come with a crank pulley)

head
block
gaskets
water pump
crank pulley
timing belt
distributor

am I missing anything?

does the head come complete? you need a ecu and a valve cover. but other than that i can't think of much else. let me give you a good amount of advice. check that block and the head really good before you buy them. i have been peicing together a z6 motor now for time cause i got fucked when i bought a z6 swap. the only thing that i got that was useable was the intake manifold and the valve cover. i still haven't pulled the block apart yet to see what shape that is in either. i bought a z6 head as well and i had to clean the ever living shit out of it cause it was so full of gunk. i got the head though for $50. i got really scrwed on the whole swap though.

hmm, that is kinda scary,
getting the block from someone I have bought from before,
I dont know him THAT well, but hes helped me out alot with car advice since I met him, and seems straight.

the head is some guy off honda-tech,
he has some vouches, but I dont know him

how can I check if a block is good?? I've got no clu :?

best way would be to send it to a machine shop. i just hate to see you buy allot of parts, then put it all together and then have be broken right from the start. since i have gotten my honda and started buying parts i have gotten fucked more than i have gotten good stuff. just be carefull. so far i have had to buy everything 2 times till i got what i needed.
