Ok i have a 92 VX i am wondering if i could swap the d16z6 head on to the d15z1 block. I am wandering if this is possible and if so what would be needed to do this. Also would this be worth it? also would the intake and headers also fit on with the Head? And what kinda power gain would i be looking at... any help would be appreciated.

welcome to D-series, glad to have you aboard...

D15Z1
92-95 Civic VX
1493cc
92 bhp @ 5500
97 lb-ft @ 4500
Redline: 7000 rpm
4 cyl, 16 valve
SOHC VTEC-E
9.3:1 c.r.
PGM-FI (MPFI)

You will more then likely just look up the info on a mini-me head swap which is the Z6 head on a 1.5 block...Then only thing I'm not sure of w/ that block would be about the oil control jet...Probably get about 15-20 HP diff roughly..You can use either the VX or Z6 headers but the Z6 headers will give you a better flow or aftermarket if you hae the $$...

Good luck w/ it my man....

starting with the VX bottom end, your compression will be a VERY Turbo friendly 7.5:1, but would SUCK for normal driving.

10-15 psi would probably be alright with a small turbo like a 14b and lots of tuning. A VX block has the 1.6L rods, so they are a little stronger than most 1.5l blocks.
