Why?
I'm not meaning to thead jack but this could end up educational for all. If you changed out only 57 trim for the same turbo but with a 50 trim, what differences would you see on the dyno and on the street? 50 trim would be quicker or slower to spool? More or less top end/mid range/low end power? How would it effect things real world?

the genuine garrett 50 trim compressor has been proven on the D. thats what i would go with.

i couldnt comment on the 57 because ive never tuned one or owned one.

Comparing the 2; the 50 trim will spool faster, offer better midrange and a topend with a "negligible" difference. A 50 trim is a great turbo. People tend to look at the 50,57,60 trim hybrids and think the bigger # is better...when in most cases it isnt. Going by the OP's power goal, the 50 trim is right up his alley and wont be a "topend happy" turbo.

I've seen a 57 trim hit 405 whp on 25 psi on a vitara setup, everything essentially stock. I'm sure a 50 trim can get similar results.

Im running a Precision 57trim.

It's a fun car. I love the sudden "kick" but that's just me.

You can feel power around 4k.

Coupler popped off and I decided to stop dyno time that's why it stops at 6k.
