ok, first off..... here is my set up....

-DSM 14b (TD05) turbo
-DSM 45cc injectors
-log mani
-P06 with Chrome/UBERDATA
-TurboXS RFL BOV
-FMIC

well that is all that matters (that i can think of). My question is do yall think my D16y7 can hold 10psi with a good tune? i wanna be able to drive it hard and not be afraid of it blowing up.

It might, it might not. It depends on how quickly you get it tuned after starting it, what kind of shape the motor is already in, and how well you maintain it after you boost it.

I woulden't just crank it up without knowing A/F, or having a way to tune it. Most base maps are used just to start tuning, not for regular use.

At least your not W.OT. on just the base map. Just move everything up slowly and see how it goes.

You won't need a new WG, you'll be breaking rods before you have boost spike issues. Just get a good boost controller, electronic if you can afford it.

It will only adjust to the lowest pressure that the wastegate can hold. On a TD05 it's about 12 PSI.

You may have headlift issues at higher boost levels. Keep some ARP headstuds and a fresh headgasket handy just in case.
