i am planning on replacing my water pump on my build even tho it looks brand new, unless i can check it somehow. any one know a way to test the water pump. Same with the oil pump, which is rather expensive and i would like to salvage that if possible.. thanks for the help guys

You can take the oil pump apart and check clearances etc.

Waterpump I'd replace been burned to many times not putting one in! Now if I put an engine in for someone, I wanna put a t-belt and waterpump on before putting it in the car!

If you are real fast, around 40 minutes. Of course this is on a lift with air tools and after you've done a bunch of 'em. Time required if you are a mechanical rookie and doing it in a driveway...........
