vtec question

What is the best rpm for vtec to be activated?I see some chips that go over the stock rpm and some that go under and just wanted tho know at about what rpm setting would be the best.Any insights.thanks for ur time. :D

Well I have a D16Y8 and I set the vtec to be activated at 5100rpms anything lower you just can’t tell the vtec is engaged on my car.
