I'd say, between mini-me and full Z6 swap, that it depends on your long term goals for the car. Most people who do a mini-me will probably want the Z6 transmission as well. At this point, you might have been able to save $$ just by buying a full Z6 swap. Additionally, if turbo/nitrous is in your future, the 1.6L blocks have far better aftermarket support for rods/pistons/etc, in addition to stronger stock pieces.
