is there any special sequencing when setting the valvelash?

my understanding is the cylinder you are setting it for needs to be at TDC, then you set the next cylinder to TDC and adjust that one, and so on....

any input?

thanks

To get it right, yes tdc on every cylinder is the best choice. I have seen (and done) it faster with the bottum part of the lobe touching the rocker. But I dont reccomend it. I wont do it anymore..

you do it in the firing order of motor I believe. Adj #1, rotate the crank 180, make sure the can moves 90 degrees, then do the next and so on.

With the Top on the cam gear up you can adjust the following
1- intake
1 - exhaust
2- exhaust
3 -intake

Then with the cam gear Top pointing down you can do
2-intake
3-exhaust
4- intake
4- exhaust

Or with the cam gear Top do number 1. With the cam gear Top at 9 o'clock does number 3 than cam gear Top at 6 o'clock do number 4 and then with the cam gear Top at 3 o'clock do number 2!
