i had to advance my cam 1 degree due to millng my head. my question is now that it is advanced do i need to put it back to 0 when i adjust my valves or should i just adjust them when it is at 1 degree advance. i would think that i would leave it at +1 and adjust them because that is where the cam is top dead now due to the mill. is this true????

set to 0. the valve train itself is not affected by the milling. so you should set to 0 and adjust the valve clearance then set back to 1 degree advance/retard.
this is tru but when you advance the cam you are movin the cam, so in my mind that is going to change the valve lash. therfore you would have to readjust the valves. i agree that it's only 1 degree but you never know!!!!

Right, you are moving the crank not the camgear. Its at point your cam is closing the valves! In other words you cam is directly related to your valves, so essentially your valves are advanced as well automaticly.

whoooo

I think I just confused myself with that one.

Did I help on that one?
