I have recently aquired a turbo from a mazda 626. Its in great shape and wanted to put it on my car. I have the resources to make it fit and work corectly. I just wanted to know should i rebuild my engine befor i add boost. I have 1.5 16v mpfi. Dx block and head with si intake and injection and ecu, also accord TB. Could i get a way with just replacing the piston rings? What other parts would need to be upgraded or just rebuilt? Any help would be great.

putting new rings in alwaysmakes things better. you will need ot hone the cylinder walls to remove any marks and glazing from the old rings.
