hey ive been wondering something for a long time lol
currently i have a Tanabe super hyper medalion with a magnaflow dynomax high flow cat

because when i had the exhaust itself it was almost like stock sound which i wanted cuz at the time i didnt want loud or raspy or even the fart can looking muffler. then i got the high flow cat and it sounds louder. But good everyone tells me it doesn't sound like a typical civic its deap but doesn't sound like a weed waker as much as other cars.

So now it looks like:

Now take into the fact i want to drop the car and eventually turbo it. Plus the area i live in has shity roads and is a extremly hilly area with steep hills and shit. I think with it lowered itll scrap all over..

so now im thinking to plainly replace the muffler leave the rest alone. becuase the headers, high flow cat, and all the catback is stainless, So its good. Im planning to just cut a part off at the back of the axle and maybe weld another muffler on

Im thinking of:

^friend said that you wont be able to see the muffler behind the bumper all you will see is the outlet/tip

or the dynomax super turbo muffler:

So in cliff notes:
Ima lower my car, i live in a shity road hilly road area with steep hills and shit, i think the exhaust will scrap, Thinking to turbo my car, yet i dont want it to sound raspy until i turbo it, Im looking at stock looking mufflers,

Do you think ill have scraping problems the way the car is now (stock height) for when its lowered?
_-----------------------------
If not then fuck it i dont even need to get into this ill keep what i have

what muffler to replace mine? That isnt the fart can looking thing, isnt raspy as hell, wont scrap when lowered/slamed, and good for turbo and will sound good b4 i get turbo?

and looks someone like the stock muffler

That's one ugly looking Dynomax muffler! They've surely came a way since my DynoMax on the Escort...for the worse unfortunately. That muff looks stock, almost.

dotn change mufflers... i'm dropped 2.5in front and rear and i love in some back woods areas and ive never scraped... and i have a few friends droped almost 3in wiht your muffler set up and they are fine!!! and the turbo muffler is just a less restrictive mouse trap design...

but doesnt my muffler hang down lower then most? I figure it does so itll be more of a chance to scrap especially lowered in hilly areas

I wish i could find sound clips and pics of the super turbo muffler on a ej8
I hope it doesnt hang as low as the pics i provided
and i searched google for videos and couldnt find any on civics

and do they really give enough airflow for turbo? as people with the 3-4 inch muffler exhaists lol

if you do the dynomax super turbo - get a resonator... and then tuck it way up - and have a turndown... you can't even see my muffler from the rear of the car... i like it that way.
