Alright guys, help a brother out.

I recently turbo'd my car after installing all appropriate supporting mods (rods/pistons/arp studs/750cc injectors/ecu etc)

been running nicely for a while

then my turbo oil line sprung a leak

i fixed that last night, but when i fired it up, the turbo its self started leaking.

i researched a bit and thought it might be crankcase pressure, so i opened the 710 cap and let it breathe while i turned it on.. nope, still leaking oil.

the line is snug and not leaking

the return is well above the oil line in the pan and it's facing downwards.

im guessing it's the turbo because its not the best quality turbo but im a bit upset i only got all of 100 miles out of it so far...

use a oil restrictor. seals could be blown in the turbo.

and you dont have enough posts to really be asking for parts, so just be aware

Can you post some pictures of your drain line and setup in general?

The oil is accumulating where exactly? I assume somewhere on the CHRA, but do you see oil on the top half or only on the bottom? Does it favor one side (like the compressor or turbine side)?

Yep, need pics to help determine if your drain is good. More than likely not running a restrictor could be your issue as well.

Ah it literally drips from the exhaust side, it's more than visible.
I'm running a restrictor as well.

im not asking for parts by the way, im wondering if any company makes a twin scroll 5 bolt flange turbo (non v band)

thanks!

thanks for the shitpost but i've done plenty of searching and can't find a 5 bolt twin scroll turbo.

gpopshop had nothing useful at all.

Please refrain from posting here if you're just going to be crass, im looking for useful help not snarky attitudes

I dont think ive seen a twin scroll T3 housing that has the 5 bolt flange. That flange is designed around the ability to run a bolt-on internal wastegate, and it wouldnt work well on a twin scroll because only half of the exhaust would be able to go through the wastegate. The creep would be crazy. Thats probably why you cant find them.

If youre getting oil leaking from the turbine side of the CHRA, Im going to say its leaking through the seal on that side. It could be the turbo failing, but most likely its from your oil drain not working well. Oil drain problems are usually from being set up poorly, and less frequently from crankcase pressure issues.

Again, pics of drain line?

MHI makes several ... they were used on the EVOs.

Your google-fu is weak.

Especially considering this was already mentioned.

Look twin scroll ... and ... count the bolts on the hotside. Unless counting is too much trouble for you.

This search took me exactly 32.68 seconds (including scrolling). So either you have a really short attention span or your definition of "plenty of searching" is vastly different from mine.

and if you remove the downpipe it dips out ther and makes a ton of smoke?

if no smoke then your dipping out the center and it could be a crack or strip thread on the drain.

Turbo leakage sounds like an automotive STD. Like Full Tilt said, a twin scroll T3 with a 5-bolt outlet isn't something you're going to find due to the typical internal waste gate design associated with the 5-bolt outlet. I mean I'm guessing you mean a T3 turbine housing. That actually wasn't even mentioned in the initial post but that's more than likely what you're searching for. You also need to be aware that not every turbine housing will mesh up to any turbo. The housing needs to be properly machined to match the inducer and exducer of the turbine wheel.

that 4 bolt flange on the mitsubishi turbo looks just like a universal 4 bolt! oh wait, no it doesn't, it's shaped like a trapezoid.
herp

I'm pretty sure it's a shit quality turbo that's the problem. gonna grab a precision turbo for now and nix the idea of twin scroll.

the vband to 5 bolt adapter wouldn't clear my radiator shroud :/

Why won't it clear? I ran a 5 bolt vband adapter with my oem fan and shroud with no problem, only issue

Is it won't clear ac compressor
