You can do it DPFI, but it's not the best idea. MPFI swap and turbo you can get 160-200 WHP like it's nothing. 5-6 PSI means nothing with out knowing what turbo.
x2; but 8psi should be fine on a stock block after MPFI...Unless your running an external wastegate your going to have a tough time keeping a 14B below 7-8 PSI.
