Hey Guys,

I recently traded my 96 Supercharged Hatch for a 95 Turbo Hatch...

its got a D16Y8 engine, Manual tranny, Turbo, SMIC, sport clutch etc...and most important of all, its A/C compatible!!!

my question is, my setup has the turbo compressor on the passenger side, not on the A/C side like 99% of the pics Ive seen. but the problem is, that the compressor is open and Im having a hard time tryin to figure out something to cover it up with since a filter wont fit due to a steel tranny line in the way.

im thinking of runnin a screen on it for now, but i'd like to try and get a filter on it...

anyone running something similar to what Im describing?

Ill be out of the country this week, so Ill post some pics when I get back...

For how much time this engine is running w/o filter???
A screen is better than nothing but far from ideal.....
Make a custom pipe to locate a filter somewhere in the engine bay!

well, its gotta be about 2.25" since thats the INLET size of the turbo (i think its a T25) im gonna go to a muffler shop when i get back and see if they can custom weld a "S" that will go from the INLET towards the passenger side...

any other ideas?

Where the filter go on a turbo is the inlet ;)
Make sure the muffler shop use stainless steel or aluminum, you dont want your engine to ingest rust particule, do you?
