You need to set the valve lash after you mount the head to the block. Even if it was built before you bought it, you'd still need to set the valve lash.
True after the motor is built driven then do another valve lash. I gapped my plugs .028 that stopped my shuttering at high rpm wot. But check plug gap and valve lash if it doesn't help get that re tune like every one is saying.
You can check and see if your idle is set properly on your throttle body. Let it warm up and then unplug your IACV and see where your idle is. Should be around 750 or so and not die...
