Ok, I'm attempting to work out a good hwy trans with somewhat close-ratio and decent spacing... going into a 92 Turbo Hatch.

Here is what I came up with:

1st 3.250 (DX 92-95 Civic)
2nd 1.761 (DX 92-95 Civic)
3rd 1.180 (DX 84-87 CRX)
4th 0.937 (DX 88-91 Civic)
5th 0.750 (SI 93-95 Del-Sol)
FD 3.888 DX

Ok, is this possible? Can you put cable-trans gears in a hydro trans? Do the years matter?
Open for suggestions... this is mainly a commuter car on hwy w/ 75mph speed-limit, but mostly cruise @ 80+. So I'm looking for decent hwy pull and economy.

can't mix those parts, just run a 92-95 EX tranny and be done, esp. with boost.
Cool, thanks! Trannies aren't something I'm well versed in... can cable and hyrdo trannies not be mixed? Or is it the years?

your trying to mix 3-4 different generations of trannys, never gonna happen.
Ok, one last ? What about a 4th (0.937) from a 88-91 civic/crx? Will that work in a 92-95 box?

HF and STD have the same FD............
nope, they have the same gear ratios, but have a slightly different final..well that is if the chart i was lookin at is correct. but it makes sense, why at 7900rpm im goin 80 vs on an hf when in at 7900rpm im goin a lil over 90

if you take an hf up to 7900, you have problems
