Step 1: Gather your tools. You will need, 17mm wrench, 3/8” ratchet and an oil pump. (not shown is an oil pan and 4 quarts or oil)

Step 2: Loosen but don’t remove the 17mm bolt found at the top backside of the transmission. It is near the axle.

Step 3: Place your oil pan under the transmission

Step 4: Loosen and remove the 3/8” bolt on the bottom of the tranny. Be careful because it will shoot fluid out, so compensate for this with the placement of the pan.

Step 5: Let all of the fluid flow out.

Step 6: Put your oil pump up in the fill hole (17mm plug)

Step 7: Pump a quart through the transmission to flush out any old oil

Step 8: After the flush is complete, plug the drain hole (bottom) and continue filling up the transmission. Fill it up until it starts to dribble out of the fill hole.

Step 9: While it is still dripping, plug the fill hole and wipe it down.
