I live in the UK and it rains a lot, tyres are the first on my list.

But i believe a lot of my traction problems are down to the car and engine.

The engine mounts need to be stiffer, but i want something cheap to sort it out, would i be better buying an engine damper?

Also is there anything else to reduce "wheel hop"

3M window weld... fill the stock motor mounts... that will help... also what is your tire presure... try droping 5 lbs out the fronts... if that does not help your going to need to maybe get like a front traction bar

It's a fwd you will always have traction issues. How much you have depends on how much $$$ you have.

This is only my daily driver, I've got a AWD car for best ;)

I'm currently running ITR shocks with lowering springs.

New tyres are on the list i've just changed wheels first.

30psi pressure.

This 3M window weld stuff.
Is there any threads on here about doing it and where can i get some?

I can't see how less engine flex can give less wheel hop?

solid engine mounts > engine damper

the damper will work if you dont want to get the mounts but they pretty much do the same thing just to different degrees

All the traction bars, and motor mounts in the world won't help here

Witout good tires, you will just spin in the rain and humidity

Problem with solid mounts, is it sucks for daily driven, where your g/f or your boss may have to ride int he car. i:e they think u drive a hoopty

They make car vibrate, and louder...
Same reasoning behind not welding a exhaust to the car and using hangers

had the inserts on the torque mounts and the rear motor mount. I just filled the other two while the motor was out. I'll see how it does with them filled, the es inserts, and the damper along with the lsd here in a few days :D.

My "other" car has solid motor mounts and yes it does make the car vibrate a little more. As for the noise at idle i cant tell. The walboro is too loud. LOL

what a useless post ^^^

Stiffer mounts will help with the traction problems. I noticed I had alot of wheel hop and when i put in my es inserts the car had less wheel hop.Getting larger and better tires may help. The tire is the last gear ratio that affects your speed. Larger tires and heavier will make it harder to spin but will make your car a little slower :p

I noticed my lighter wed sport rims start spinning much faster than my regular ole fat fives
